Welcome to Winchester
We are a community of approximately one hundred homes located just outside of Annapolis near Arnold.
The community became an association in the 1950s. It has the unique distinction of being listed in Wikipedia as: Winchester-on-the-Severn is a populated place located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is the longest hyphenated placename in the United States appearing in the USGS's Geographic Names Information System, consisting of 21 letters.
The Winchester on Severn community association has an executive board consisting of current community volunteers. The association meets four times per year to discuss current events and review issues of the time. Winchester on Severn association owns five separate waterfront properties that include a community beach with a pavilion,
children play area on open grass, privately maintained white sand beach and lots of parking. The association also has two separate docking areas with some shallow and some deep water slips. Since we have more boat owners then we have slips, there is a waiting list for slip usage. We have several community events including the very popular annual crab feast, first Friday happy hours, Easter egg hunts, Halloween costume contest and the always well attended summer beach party. Located on the edge of Winchester, in Pines on the Severn is a community pool known as Chase Creek Swim Club. Find all the information you need on their web page, http://www.chasecreekpool.org/
We have created this web site as a means of keeping the community informed and showing just some of the many assets that come with being a property owner and member of the well cared for place known as Winchester on the Severn.
